Vehicle Ordering System Discovery

It's the end of 2022 and a groups new vehicle ordering system is due to go live in the next 9 months. The system landscape is complex and therefore the requirements for the build were taken back in 2020. And ahead of the launch, we saw the need to go back out to speak to the people at the sites who would be using the system everyday. Understanding how they are using the current system would lead to a more successful launch.

We spoke to brands about the variation they had across their network. Their sales mix, their franchise group variation and the size and setup of their teams. We then mapped out the sites we would visit and a structure to talk to them with; capturing their current requirements through dialogue and then gathering knowledge from the teams to answer their questions at sites.
Solve>
We visited more than 10 sites and captured over 150 points that we could develop on before launch. The good news was, the new system already had most of the capability but the discovery allowed 5 change requests to be raised and implemented and also structure the training and user guides around how teams worked today; to allow a smooth transition.
